This is a non-permanent solution because the Command Adhesive hooks come off without leaving any gunk behind. The one challenge that remains with this solution is condensation on windows. I have heard that some films create insulation and stop this sort of condensation but have not confirmed this. Be Sure to remove the paper window coverings during the day when not in use so that any water can evaporate and not damage the window sills or frames.
