So today I am going to go ahead and demonstrate one of our window treatments that consist of our Venetian Scrolls, as well as our Venetian arms and Venetian Crowns.

This particular package is a do it yourself package however our client has chosen to hire us to go ahead and do this for them so we thought this would be a great opportunity for you to learn how to do this.

So I’m going to go ahead and demonstrate for you how this is done. It’s a very simple few step process.

Step one: Take your fabric in a straight line and work your way from the corner at the bottom making sure that your hand gets folded under the fabric and you work towards the end of the fabric at an angle. That’s the very first step that you want to do and that’s what will create for you what we call the jabot as well as the tail, both at the same time.

Step two: What we are going to do with this piece is put it in the center of our Venetian crown and I’m going to go ahead and do that now.

So this piece now will go onto the back of our Venetian. All of our Venetian’s have a peg on the back of them and that’s where you will want to hang this.

Step three: The next thing that you do after stepping down from your ladder is move over to the corner of your window. Again, the same theory takes place. All you are doing is simply going from the bottom and working your way toward the center. That’s all you are doing. As you can see by me just going at an angle that provides what you would call a straight top and this simply gives you a nice swag.

All we do in this particular design is take the extra fabric and loop it though the two arms and we hang it up. As you can see it’s done a really wonderful job.

Now for this particular portion what I’d like to do is also the same thing just simply take the excess of the fabric and work my way up to the top. And that’s what is going to create my other swag. And all I do is I take the tail the extra fabric and pull it through.

Once I’m done with doing that all I have to do is simply go ahead and follow the folds in the fabrics. And that will create my first swag.

Now sometimes you will see what you would call a bow across the top here. All you need to do is simply pull on the top fabric and that is going to go ahead and remove that bow and turn it into a complete straight line.

This is the first part of the window treatment that we just did. Now I’m going to go ahead and do the other side so it will give us a complete window treatment. You will see the results in a second.
